The National Extension Tourism Network is pleased to announce our 2021 call for award applications. Two awards are currently being offered via NET.
- NET Excellence in Tourism Award Nomination:
- This award recognizes an extension or outreach individual or a team for their work in any aspect of tourism development, or for accomplishments relative to scholarly and creative activities, teaching and/or research effectiveness.
- NET Excellence in Tourism Programming Award: Individual or Team
- This award recognizes outstanding tourism program development, impacts, or accomplishments relative to innovative, creative, or scholarly activities.
General Policy:
· NET awards are either plaques or certificates. No monetary awards will be given.
· Any person working on extension or outreach-based tourism programming and affiliated with NET activities has a right to nominate candidates for any of the awards.
· Self-nominations for awards are accepted.
· The winner in each category is selected by an appointed committee.
· The winners are officially announced and presented their plaques (or certificates) at the NET Biennial Conference. Winners will also be highlighted on the NET website.
Awards are accepted between May and July 1st, 2021. Winners will be notified by September 13th, 2021.
