Webinar Description:
Join Extension, Sea Grant, and tourism colleagues from around the country to share strategies and challenges for adapting programs to address the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. Are you moving your programs online? Have you completely reworked your offerings to address the urgent needs of tourism and recreation businesses during COVID-19? What is working and what is not? What are your major concerns and questions moving forward?
Lisa Chase from University of Vermont Extension and the Vermont Tourism Research Center will share how she upended her planned programs to help farms with agritourism continue to connect with customers and bring in revenues while limiting direct contact.
Andy Northrop from Michigan State University Extension will discuss how he developed online tourism workshops that use a round table format available in Zoom breakout rooms. He has facilitated conversations with large groups to help communities promote assets during Shelter in Place orders and prepare for tourism post COVID-19.
Miles Phillips of Oregon State University Extension/OSU Sea Grant will share how he has expanded online tourism programing for guide and tour operators through CANVAS courses, ZOOM webinars & meetings for stakeholder & collaborators. He will also share how you can offer some of these program right now for your clients.
