NET is the premiere professional development and networking association for professionals from the Cooperative Extension and Sea Grant systems who are engaged in research and programming that helps communities understand, plan, and implement sustainable tourism, agritourism, and outdoor recreation projects. NET members also include individuals from non-profits, Destination Management Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, and Federal and State agencies including the National Park Service, US Forest Service, and State Departments of Tourism. The organizers of this year’s conference are striving to make the event accessible to more participants, including attendees from historically underrepresented institutions including Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, other minority-serving institutions, and county extension offices.
